Dear fantastic wonderful you,
I have been revisiting L M Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables books this last week.
There is something about getting lost in the realms of fiction. Reading a beloved work of fiction sends my imagination soaring and makes me feel like I am spending time with cherished friends.
Though honestly e reading is new to me. I love the feel of a book in your hands, being the first to open & read a new book, the history and smell of older pre loved books and the weight of a book in your hands. It’s just magic. I can’t imagine a world where books are no longer printed. Then again people still buy DVD’s and CD’s and they have been on the way out for years.
Do you read? Reading for me was such a part of my childhood. My Nanna used to take us to 2nd hand shops and I always chose books. Mostly Enid Blighton ones. That magic far-a-way tree, the famous five, anything with fairies always enchanted & captured my imagination.
It is always sad to me when people say they do not like to read . Books have taught me so much, transported me to worlds and places I may never see & inspired me to creative endevours based on some of my favorite characters.
My world would be so much greyer & dull without books. Books colour my world, help me believe in love & transform my world.
What do books do for you?
